According
to information released by the Trump administration:
1.      President Trump said on July 7 that
“negative policies of BRICS countries will be imposed on their domestic
products.
2.      This is a special tax objective and
will not immediately affect all BRICS members; it will be imposed only if
“industrial or policy decisions are determined to be ‘anti-American’”.
3.      Furthermore, it has been announced
that all additional tariffs /baseline reciprocal tariffs will be added to the
10% already enjoyed and will come into effect from August 1, 2025.
4.      Before this, this tax was July 9;
but as of now, it has been changed to August 1, 2025.
5.      US – President Donald Trump on BRICS

not be immediately effective unless they follow negative US policies – a kind
of trigger-based condition for the new tax to be implemented from 01 August
2025
