Which projects are being implemented in Tamil Nadu
under the Indian Railways Modernization Programme:
Under the Modernization Programme of Indian Railways, several major projects are being implemented in Tamil Nadu and the state has been allocated ₹6,626 crore, which is a 4% increase over the previous year.

Under the Railway Modernization Project in Tamil
Nadu, 77 railway stations are being upgraded under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station
Scheme’, for which a fund of ₹2,948 crore has been allocated.

The total allocation for railway development in the
state is ₹6,626 crore, a 4% increase over the previous year. In addition, the
fourth line from Chennai Beach to Egmore is nearing completion, which will
improve urban rail services.
