Myanmar, Thailand earthquake full details

A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Sagaing, Myanmar, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at approximately 1:20 PM local time (UTC+7). The tremors were felt across the region, including in neighboring Thailand. In Bangkok, the earthquake caused the collapse of a 33-story building under construction, resulting in multiple casualties.  Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities work to locate and assist survivors.

Myanmar:

Death toll: At least 1,000 people have died in Myanmar, and the toll is expected to rise. Damage: Buildings collapsed in cities such as Mandalay and Thandwe; in particular, a mosque in Thandwe partially collapsed, killing at least three people.

Thailand:

Death toll: Three people died and several others are missing after a building collapsed in Bangkok. Damage: High-rise buildings in Bangkok shook, sending people fleeing into the streets in panic.
