Ghibli has recently introduced several art-related releases and initiatives:
1. 'Painting
the Worlds of Studio Ghibli' Art Book
Released on January 22, 2025, this comprehensive hardcover
book features over 800 background paintings from all 27 Studio Ghibli films,
spanning from NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind to The Boy and the
Heron. It offers an in-depth look at the studio's artistic evolution.  
2. 'Hayao
Miyazaki Image Board Series'
Starting December 5, 2024, Japanese publisher Iwanami Shoten
began releasing a series of books showcasing Hayao Miyazaki's concept art and
image boards. The series commenced with volumes dedicated to NausicaƤ of the
Valley of the Wind and Laputa: Castle in the Sky, each including
interviews with Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki.  
3. Studio
Ghibli Art Frame Calendar 2025
For 2025, Studio Ghibli released an Art Frame Calendar
featuring scenes from 23 of its films. Measuring approximately 60 x 42 cm and
containing 36 sheets, the calendar allows fans to rearrange and frame the
artwork, making it a collectible item.

AI-Generated Ghibli-Style Art Trend
In early 2025, AI-generated images emulating Studio Ghibli's
art style gained significant attention. This trend sparked debates about the
ethical implications of using AI to replicate distinctive artistic styles
without the original artists' consent. Discussions centered on concerns
regarding copyright infringement and the potential impact on traditional
